Bianca Lemus grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where she started exhibiting in galleries at the early age of 10. Her medium of choice has since been acrylic on canvas. Her art was recognized by the Premier of Saskatcheqan and from the Minister of Learning in 2005. She then was awarded the Art Award from Evan Hardy Collegiate, the Bill Epp Memorial Art Scholarship and the Certificate of Appreciation from the Canadian Club of Saskatoon in 2006. She later featured at the Mendel Art Gallery alongside Joni Mitchell and various other young artists for the exhibition Cool Art the same year.
After graduating high school Bianca moved to British Columbia, where she was accepted into Vancouver Film School. She earned her diploma for 3D Animation and Visual Effects in 2009. She went on to work on multiple television programs and films but now returns her focus on painting.
She admires artists such as Robert Bateman, Salvador Dali, Norman Rockwell, Alfonse Mucha and Gil Elvgren. She's inspired by her environment. She finds beauty in the little things in life that we may do and see everyday and don't necessarily take the time to appreciate, like the food we eat to the buildings downtown that have been around for over one hundred years. She likes to combine imagination with reality and finds happiness in the ability to share what she sees.
