Parisa Shafazand is a visual artist who enjoys exploring the crafts of oil paint, mixed media, and acrylic among other visual art mediums. Born in Iran and raised in North America, she translates the rich and vibrant culture of Persia into innovative and modern artwork that displays her years of skill. Parisa completed a 4 year program at The University of Emily Carr in less than 3 years, studying the intricate craft of composition and visual art, animation, and graphic design. She also attended Simon Fraser University, graduating the PDP program and earning her Bachelor of Education, she loves teaching children how to nurture their imaginations and creativity through art. Parisa aspires to become a full time art teacher and help children with special needs express themselves through visual art. She lives, and works in the Coquitlam/ Port Moody area.
