SAMUEL QUO VADIS

Today's featured artist is photographer, Samuel Quo Vadis:

"I see photography as a means to reveal hidden truths and potentials. My portraits seek to show my subject as she's never before been seen...perhaps as she's never seen herself. I strive not to copy what has already been done, but to unveil and release the individual from the bonds of convention and the limits of social expectation.
The images in this show are from my series "Masks!" The series plays with our perceptions of people by selectively revealing or hiding portions of the model's face...or showing her in the process of stripping away her mask.
In 2013 I was a finalist in the world's richest and most prestigious photography competition, the Hamdan International Photography Award and was one of only two Canadian photographers selected for publication. My portrait, "Mysterious Beauty." will be part of a show touring Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
More of my work can be viewed at mysecretobsession.ca and cocoabutter.gallery."
