MARIO TRAINA

Mario's professional career began in Toronto, in 1977. He worked as a custom enlargement printer for a professional photo lab. After gaining experience working with some of the city's best portrait and wedding photographers, he gained confidence while experimenting with some portraits of his own.

In 1980 while working for merely three months as an assistant within a commercial catalogue studio, he was promoted to junior photographer and launched his professional shooting career shortly after.

In 1992 he was given an opportunity to teach for the Continuing Education Program at Humber College. Along the way he also earned certificates with Kodak Canada, Sony, and the industry's famed Photo Marketing Association.

His career of over thirty years has covered the role of; Staff Photographer, Photo Editor, Photo Instructor, Photo Judge.

Inspired to renew his past talents and experiences for the growing community on the Sunshine Coast, Mario looks forward to increasing his portfolio and concentrating his creativity with infrared and long exposure black & white photography.
