Matia Theodosakis is a conceptual photographer living in Vancouver, BC.

She recently left university to pursue art and existential living while she attempts to understand herself, unhappiness, the absurdity of existence and the meaning of meaning. She tends to approach her work with a sense of questioning and a hope for catharsis. A good photograph, for her, is one that offers a temporary reprieve from some of life’s unanswerable questions.

Humans that appear inhuman, exploration of mood, and “cosmic horror” are some themes which often run through her work.

She lives and can often be seen with her artistic and emotional collaborator, Coco. Who can been seen weaving herself inimitably into Matia’s work and life.
