Jan Hilario is a travel and street photographer. Mixing her wanderlust and avid love of photography, she recently returned from a 15-month photographic and personal exploration of the world. Using only natural light and minimal equipment, she tries to capture daily life, along with its muted conflicts and simple rewards, in the regions of Central America, South America, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and here in our own backyard- North America. She has no formal training, but is inspired by classical icons of street photography such as Helen Levitt, Arthur Fellig, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Dorothea Lange. She continually challenges herself to see the world differently.
