Emily Boulton is presently enrolled at Emily Carr University. She completed her Studio Arts Diploma at Capilano University. She has lived in B.C. all of her life and has an appreciation for the sublime beauty of the scenery. Her main artistic focus alternates between painting and drawing.
Emily’s artistic interests started at a young age like many artists. As a child, she relied heavily on art as a visual outlet to help understand and structure her reality. She was often absorbed into a primarily visual sense of reality which helped her capture a ‘likeness’ in her drawings at a young age.
Presently, Emily has expanded her style. She enjoys exploring the mediums she works with by using different styles and approaches. She likes to represent themes of flow, ambiguity, mirroring, symmetry and repetition with landscape, portraiture and still life genres.
